A personal journey to REBEL

As the world was losing its cool over COVID-19, I find myself (shockingly!) calm and productive. I know I have all the personal growth work I did over the past couple of years to thank. As the entrepreneurial journey became turbulent, self care was my stoic pillar! So what did I do during the COVID-19 quarantine? I birthed an online program based on my personal and real-life transformation … However, before I tell you about the program…..   Let me tell you the story of a girl Striving for perfection, control and constant rushing were a few of my best friends. They had served me well – I finished high school as a salutatorian, wrapped up undergrad with BBA in Finance with honors in 3 years, finished my MBA...

My word for 2020 – COURAGE

It is amazing what awareness, in any aspect, can do for one. Never in a million years did I imagine the life journey that the decision to be an entrepreneur would put me on. Naively, I thought it will be a simple matter of having a new job.  I have education, I have experience, I gathered guts to make the big move...

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO TELL YOUR DAUGHTER

They ask me: What are you going to tell your daughter? That you left a successful corporate career to be a Pilates teacher?  Yes, that is what I am going to tell her. I will also tell her that this is what I love doing. I will teach her about PURPOSE and CHOICES.  They ask me: Are you going to tell her you left an office job to be touching people’s feet? Yes, that is what I am going to tell her. I will also tell her that while I am correcting those feet, I am impacting people’s wellbeing & life. I will teach her about PERSPECTIVE.  They ask me: Will you tell her that you could have been a corporate CFO but you chose to be an entrepreneur? Yes,...

Di’s Story – A Story of a Rebel Determined to Claim her Life Back

It was just another day when I received an online inquiry about Pilates. I emailed back and got in touch with Di. We spoke briefly on the phone. Di sounded quiet. She had Lyme disease. She wanted to give Pilates a try at the recommendation of her sister. She had all over body weakening and knee swelling and inflammation. I asked her if she can take stairs. She said that she should be able to. We scheduled a consultation for her to come visit the studio and meet each other.   A few days later, the appointment time came. Here came this young and beautiful girl. She was maybe mid 30s. Her posture was slumped, her shoulders rounded forward, her knees quite swollen. She came slowly down...

PROUD DAUGHTER MOMENT

My mom and I are quite opposite personalities. She is quiet and the epitome of grace and politeness. Then there is me - outspoken and opinionated.   Mom has never been the workout type. She loves walking but that’s about it. I guess it’s part of our Bulgarian culture and her generation - working out wasn’t the thing. Neither was self care.   Mom has tried Pilates and actually enjoys it. But she never wants to bother me or impose so she doesn’t do it...

MY 2019 WORDS & INTENTIONS

I love this new trend….the word of the year. Last year, I picked the word GROWTH. Unannounced, the word SURRENDER accompanied it. Somehow and inevitably, both words appear to be mutually dependent – in order to grow, one must surrender; in order to be able to surrender, one must grow. 2018 was an amazing year. Indeed, a year full of personal and professional GROWTH and a year where the word SURRENDER gained even more respect in my Rebellious world. SURRENDER as trust that everything that is happening is taking place for a reason, trust that even when things don’t go my way, they are going the way they are supposed to go. A prominent sign in my bedroom faces me each day I wake up: “TODAY YOU...

EO’s SUPPORTING THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

My family’s favorites Aroma Therapy oils: Myrtle (single and milder), RC (Respiratory Care) and Breath Again. Latter two are blends. Apply topically, diffuse. I dilute RC and Myrtle with carrier oil (e.g. coconut, olive, jojoba, etc.) for topical application. Use for anything respiratory-related, even if a cardio activity. As always, remember that purity and potency are of paramount importance! Learn more about Essential oils here https://youtu.be/_IT0gALCY3E ...

Pilates Exercise-THIGH STRETCH

I think the name speaks for itself. Since I run quite a bit, my legs can appreciate this stretch. Feels outstanding. If you have never tried this exercise, it probably looks easy. Don’t be fooled. The midsection (AKA core) is on fire to sustain a long body line. The upper body release on the second version is optional but is a delicious opening of the chest. Know anyone tight out there? Flexibility is a sign of a healthy muscle https://youtu.be/xc3Qn-mQ_wI ...
